McDonald's to put books in happy meals

When kids see McDonald's they think of one of two things; thing greasy (yet delicious) food, or the toys they receive in their happy meals. But, according to the article above, McDonald's has plans to start changing that. With all the slack McDonald's has been getting over the years, they have made major changes. Shifting from fries to apples, showing the nutrition facts and limiting the size of their portions are just some of the few things McDonald's had done for its younger, happy meal consumers. But this new shift might be a complete step in the other direction, and hopefully will cause an impact.
Because McDonald's is so prevalent everywhere in the world, introducing boos into their happy meals could make a huge difference. With the growth of technology, kids are reading less than ever. But having books inside of their favorite fast food meal could encourage them to want to read more. This action by McDonald's shows that even though they don't necessarily offer the most healthy food, they are still thinking about improving the youth in as many ways as they can.
